Oh, my nails!

Hey everyone!

Last week, before the TBS event, I went for a mani with my friends and bloggers Stavroula and Depy (if you don't know them, you actually should) at a beautiful spa in Kolonaki, Aesthé Beauty. It's a great place to have your nails done, but they also do offer a great selection of beauty therapies.

The most difficult thing for me when I go to get my nails done, is what colour I'm going to choose. Now look at that.

Holy moly, that is A LOT of nail polish. Oh, and as you can see, they use Mavala products, which is a great brand. I use some base and top coats and I'm telling you, they are superb.

I was wearing pastel colors that day, so I decided to go with an alternating pastel yellow/blue (after I wished I had 100 hands to use every single color. The joy of being a nail polish freak)

Depy wanted to take pics of me and Stavroula while we're having the mani. So, I did the same!

I took some photos as I took a tour of the place (I'm cool like that!). I love that they're using Murad products and I was in awe with some of the rooms they use for the beauty therapies.

Stavroula's nails finished. Isn't this a gorgeous colour? I think it was called Amsterdam.

And this, is again Stavroula doing... something. I can't tell.

We went for lunch later, and as usual we went completely random. Enjoy.

And me, trying to show off my nails, I guess? Guy behind me, photobombing, totally stealing my thunder. I understand he enjoys his souvlaki.

Do you go for a mani-pedi often? What colour do you usually choose for your nails?

Look good, feel good, do good

Hey everyone!

Last Wednesday I was invited on a bloggers event in The Body Shop in Kolonaki, Athens.

The brand's campaign "Beauty With Heart" with the slogan "Look Good - Feel Good - Do Good" promotes exactly what is says, a new shopping experience, where the customer looks and feels good while he/she cares for the community and the planet.

The ambassador of the campaign is the British model/actress Lily Cole, who is also an activist. Yeap, she's amazing!

This new campaign is part of the re-form of Body Shop stores with the addition of Pulse boutiques which promote "Beauty With Heart" in an eco friendly environment. The Pulse shops are designed to be cozy and welcoming while promoting the brands ethics and philosophy.

The event was great. I had the chance to visit the new Pulse store and of course, try out many products, some of them brand new, like the limited edition collection by Lily Cole and the Beautifying oils!

A special thanks to Dimitra Kaldi, who was so welcoming and fun! Made the experience in Pulse a lot more exciting!

Also, check out all my girls who were there as well (and are in the pic above) StavroulaDepyArgyroMaryRiaNatalie. I don't know why Gina isn't in the pic, she's probably having that hand massage! FYI, I kindly stole 2 pics from Depy and Natalie hehehe!

I got a nice goody bag as well, with 4 great products in:
Strawberry Body Butter (yum)
Moringa Shower Gel (my mom grabbed this on the next day of the event and I never got it back, but it smells delish)
Moringa Beautifying oil (amazing amazing amazing, review coming up)
Vitamin E Face Mist (Lucy did a review on it and I wanted it so bad. It's super nice!)

Wild Rose

Hey everyone!

I was lucky enough to attend an amazing event of beautydiaries blog a few days ago. It was held on the Korres offices here in Athens, which made me super happy, because I may have a small obsession with Korres products. The event was great and I got some products back with me that I hadn't yet tried out until then.

Korres makes these sets of mini products, each one is for a certain age and skin type. I chose the Wild Rose one, just because my skin is dry and I love roses! Also, Argyro who was on that event that day, told me she had bought this particular set a while ago and was extremely satisfied with the products' performance.

The 4 products come in a deep red tin box, which in my opinion looks really sleek. As I opened the box, I was totally amazed by the scent. It was overpowering and took me by surprise. I'm telling you, I keep these products in the box and once a day I open it just to take a sniff. Yes, I'm THAT crazy. Moving on.

Note: I have used only the 3 products of the 4. I haven't used the moisturiser, I'm trying to use up my LRP one before doing so.

The set contains a moisturiser with SPF6, an instant bightening mask, a brightening serum and a cleansing milk. Each product comes in a 16ml plastic tube (yay for germ-free containers). Everything has a distinct rose scent to it and like most of Korres products, they are paraben and harsh chemicals free.

I used the mask once this week and I really liked it. It gave my skin a glow, which is somewhat hard to achieve when you've got dry skin.

The cleansing milk wasn't that special, yet it took everything off. I use cleansing milks for taking my face makeup off anyway, but I haven't found any major differences to certain brands. Even though this is a  "regular" one, I think I'm going to purchase the full sized one, because I like the scent so much!

The serum was the best thing in this set. Argyro had told me she's been using the mini one for months and it's still half full. You need a tiny bit to apply to the whole face, it seems I haven't used anything at all by seeing the tube! It's very moisturising, so much that some days I only used this and I didn't feel the need to use any moisturiser (that's why my LRP is yet to be used up, ha!)

Also, I'm definately going to take some of these minis to trips with me, they are so convenient to use and store.

Have you used any of the mini sized Korres products sets?

24

Hey everyone!

I am now officially 24 years old. Nothing much has changed really, I don't feel any older or wiser! This year was full of ups and downs, but looking back I can say I'm glad everything happened.

I am not a changes person. I don't react well to any changes and everything new makes me stressful. The past year was a bit of a fail, no job, no travelling back and forth to Uni. For the first time in my life I had so much free time I didn't know what to do with it! Plus, you all know that Greece is enduring quite a hardship right now, so this made things worse. Making this blog was the best thing that happened and it only gets better and better.

I wasn't really commited to posting at first, so this blog hadn't much to give to the beauty/fashion community. My New Year's resolution was to give this blog a second try, before throwing it to the dumpster. So I did, and it became my heart and soul. I never would imagine the outcome and the love I received from the beauty community here in Greece. I didn't ask or imagined making friends here, but I did. I never imagined having my teeny blog read by people out of my close circle of friends and family.

I am so grateful for all of you and I want to thank you each and everyone. For reading my blog, for sending me emails, tweets and comments, for giving me a cyber-hug when I needed it. A special thank you to some people who encouraged me to continue this blog, you know who you are.

So yesterday was my birthday. I had an amazing time, all I can say is that it involved a lot of eating and drinking!
Here's a sneek peek of my cake, it was delish!

Now, onto my giveaway. My god, this was hard! I'm considering using Rafflecopter next time, will it be any easier? I hope so! Again, I had to disqualify a loooot of people because they didn't follow the rules.

The winner is... Sissi from Sissi's Place!!!

Congrats girl, I'll be waiting for your shipping info!

I hit 500+ followers, so to thank you all for being here, I'll do a giveaway again. I'm still in the process of gathering the gifts (yes, it will be a quite nice one), so I thought it'd be ok to have it up on June 1st. What do you think?

Again, thank you so much for making me smile at these hard times, I can't wait to share with you all things beauty!

Tea Party in the Sun

Hey everyone!

Yesterday, I attended a Cosmopolitan event at Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique in Kolonaki with some fellow beauty bloggers. It was a "tea party" themed event sponsored by Lipton and we had some fun!

It was a really hot day and as usual, I felt somehow dizzy by the crowd. Oh yes, it was packed as hell! The boutique was amazing, I didn't have the time (or space) to check out the clothes properly, but I really liked some of their handbags and wallets. Super expensive, but total eye-candy!

I took some photos, but a few of them were kindly given by the beauties that went to the event with me!

Check out these beauties!

Minis

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you some nail polishes I've been using a lot lately.

They are from a greek company named Erre Due, I'm sure most of my greek readers know about it. I love their nail polishes and I've seen they have a wide selection of colours.

I didn't know they produced mini ones though, and when I saw them in a glass box in Hondos Center, I grabbed some to try out.

I own 5 of them, I'm sure there are 2 other colours as well in the store I went in Ermou street in Athens.

The thing is, they don't have any names or numbers on them! I know, weird, right?

The colour payoff is great, the consistency is very nice and I love the brush! It's a quite wide one, it reminds me of the OPI brushes.

My two favorite ones are the reddish-coral and the turquoise. I have many corals in my collection, but I wear them all the time in the summer. After all, you can never have enough nail polishes! The mettalic turquoise is a very unique colour, it reminds me of Mermaids to Order by OPI by Sephora, but slightly better. It doesn't have any glitter whatsoever, but the metallic finish is to die for, so they are the perfect mermaid nails! I also find that it has the best quality of the lot.

These are 6 ml per bottle and cost about 2.70. I know I'll use them a lot because they come in handy for trips and I love these colours for summer!

Have you tried any mini nail polishes you like?
